Satoshi Kamiya - Mixopterus

So I've been folding this model today, I had no trouble with the references on the main part of the model, but I couldn't find any for the feelers. I just used my calculator and found the distance for that part.
does anyone know if there are any real references for this part?

Also, as this is pretty much my first time folding from a complicated cp, I am having some trouble collapsing it. Any tips I would greatly appreciate!

fold diagonals then fold the angle bisector on one of them, like your folding the fish base. still haven't found a reference for the feelers, but I just had used algebra to find the locations of the points in those.

red - reference - main square into 4ths, and 22,5 shows the point on the diagonal
green - structure lines thanks to ref.
yellow - angle bisectors of green lines
blue - just to show, that middle point is in half of the 2 points on the diagonal

I mean the middle points that form the appendages. (the points that lay on the 22.5 angle bisector line that goes dawn from the top right). I'm quite confused on how tho fold them.

Those points are pretty obvious to me.

The unfolded fish base gives four basic squares: two large and two small (the small ones being the two short flaps that become the arms, and the large being the other two corners of the square).
Bisect the angle formed by the raw edge and the border of the arm square. Where this hits the original bisector from the fish base is the reference for the next diagonal fold (perpendicular to the line of symmetry). The rest of the creases should be self-evident from there.

Simply looking at the CP of this model, I have to say its purely ingenious. The use of those fractalized molecules is just brilliant.

I was about to fold the eurypterus when I saw this and changed my mind. Would pictures of collapse be useful to anyone here?

This should be pretty obvious; I got all the points in a few minutes. Just realize that there is a point where the bisectors intersect and another where the bisectors crosses the middle crease.. The rest can be found by folding the diagonal creases that run from one edge to the adjacent edge. Hope this makes sense. I might can find a way to upload an explanatory photo, if necessary. Or do you need help with folding of those points?
