The model does not have locking folds, as some of the Komatu models. For the mane, using the CP m/v colored lines should be enough. But finding a folding sequences wont be easy. Even the diagrammed folding sequence by Komatsu is very creative.

if you are making reference to the fact that the model splays, there are no folds to keep it locked. komatsu recommends glue or a paper clip.

I have not folded this model:

In the book - Komatsu suggests using a paper clip to clip 4 inner layers together from the bottom of the model.
In his free advice, Terry Nicholas recommends 48x48cm Elephant Hide paper, dry folded, then wetted with a sponge as the number of layers increase. In the final steps of shaping, adjust the mane layers by wetting, then rounding them.

Please post pix of your models.

Just a suggestion, next time you do a post, dont use a billion punctuation marks. It makes you sound REALLY desparate and kind of annoying..

okay.

please use the link i sent you about how to use the forum and its rules.

please learn to use google. hideo komatsu has a webpage. if nothing else, you can find pictures of the finished lion there.

go to the "what have you folded lately" thread, the most active one on the board. peruse it. go to people's flickr accounts. flickr also has a search function. please learn to use it.

He was just making a statement that you should look around a little bit harder in the forum. there are a lot of people who have folded this model and you can see from their folds

seriously.......why not go fold some paper....or offer helpful suggestions instead of being condescending towards other folders.........this is half the reason i stopped actually participating in this site.....and its a shame too......because we could all help each other instead of being so nit-picky.
