Anyone know what kind of paper fits this model?

here are some options
1. Thin kraft
2.origamido, though its expensive or you can try sekishu paper. Its cheaper than origamido and works great!
3.super thin tracing paper
Although, many people are saying that this is the hardest VOG model ever! 290 steps!!

Actually it's 270 steps. Though it's still the hardest model in the book! as for me, I'd recommend:
1. Tracing Paper.
2. Double tissue.
3. and pretty much what Mir said.

It depends on your folding level haha. Some people can make beautiful models with the cheapest papers. I'd personally recommend a thin square of kraft (if it's your test fold). The model has a lot of layers and if you use tracing paper, the teeth will get very springy and probably wont hold the greatest shape

Personally I'd use double tissue for this model. Tracing paper may work pretty well too. If you have money, sekishu or origamido *may* work well for the model, but I feel those paper wouldn't be thick enough around the body area to get a clean result - I haven't seen the structure of the model so I wouldn't know. If your looking for the dual color, definitely use double tissue.

Having test folded this just now, I must say that the design is amazing!

i recently folded it (with nice results) from 25*25cm baking paper. i wouldnt recommend it for your first fold..but its all i had available. i had to use tweezers for the teeth...but it came out nice. thin paper is recommended.

I just folded this model with tracing paper and got some great results! Although I would have liked the paper to be thicker in areas. Double tissue would probably be perfect.

is the method of creating teeth same in Nguyen Hung Cuong's shark?

Nope, not at all. Nyguyen Ngoc Vu's shark uses a 24 diagonal grid with transition units similar to Kamiya's Ryujin. So 48 for the teeth. Nguyen Hung Cuong's shark uses 22.5° technique on book fold symmetry.
