Learning CPs, but don't know where to start

Hey guys,
I would like to learn how to solve crease patterns, but I have no idea where to start. I watched Tadashi Mori's tutorial, but I think I need a little more. How do you suggest I go about learning CPs? How did you start with CPs? Anything helps. Thanks.

For a first model, I highly recommend Eric Joisel's dwarf. That's how I learned how to solve them, and there is a lot out there about the dwarf.

Somehow I'm already stuck. It looks like its folded into thirds, I think. Is it like 2 water bomb bases next to eachother. Can you help please? Thanks.

It is folded into thirds. Have you got all the creases in? Just focus on that first. Divide into thirds, and you should be able to guess all of the other references. If you can't do that, you might not be ready for crease pattern folding yet. And yes, it is pretty mush two water-bomb bases next to each other.

I made a sort of photo guide to Joisel's dwarf/gnome a long time ago. If you want a link to it after you have tried yourself, I can give it to you.

What I started with was Satoshi's Chocobo and Moogle. This is it:

Alright, so it got through step 4 with just the cp. then I got stuck on the head, step 4, and I still don't get it. It sort of looks like sink folds, but I don't know. I hope these are legal, if they aren't, let me know and I'll take them down. Thanks for the other cp, I'll try it too. Thanks.

Alright, I don't think my photo diagrams trump Joisel's, but here they are:
