Thoki Yenn - DNA

Post by felicious »

I am having trouble with step 15 of Thoki Yenn's DNA molecule located http://theory.lcs.mit.edu/~edemaine/thok/dna42.html.

I can't seem to get from step 14 to step 15 at all; maybe I'm just stupid but it seems quite a dramatic leap.

Any help possible is appreciated.

Thank you. :)

What you have to do in step 14 is to give volume to the edges of the model. You need to make its edges into T shaped edges Well the T has to be tilted to one side, something like !- body -!

Get it? Is like the thick edge of this picture

Just follow the already exsisting creases. There is a valley fold, fold that over, then fold along the mountain fold.
I folded this model a cupple of times, but I don't have a camera right now

After making a cuple regular ones, I decided to try it with a dollar.

Here
It worked quite well. This is a really cool model, worth folding.
