Well, you can get diagrams of John Montroll's hippo through Google Book
This is leagal, so moderators, its ok...

Click on the link, and search for "african animals in origami" (or however you spell those things). Click on the first link.

from here, you will have to experiment, you do need a google login (two actually) in order to get the diagrams.

You will have to search for keywords that are likely to be in the page number you want.
I used a few different keywords to get different pages accordingley.
I think I used, Hippopotamus, fold, reverse, and a few others which I do not remeber at the moment.

Pages 17-58 aren't there... And the hippo is in page 27

Want Hippo is right. Here's a direct link. As you can see, the hippo diagrams are cut off halfway through.
I don't beleive that this would break copyright laws... I don't think it gives any full diagrams.

Like I said, you have to search for keywords that are on those missing pages.

I was able to get the whole set of diagrams. You do have to have two user names, otherwise you will reach your viewing limit and not be able to get all the diagrams.

Here are the serach temrs I used to get the diagrams.
Hippo will give you 27
1. Unfold - That will give you step 28
2. Reverse - Page 29
3. Leg - Page 30
4. Fold - Page 31
5. Shape - Page 32

I will say it again to make it Clear. You need two user names in order to get these diagrams
You can create free user names for Google, it takes around a minute.
