Who does know why he no longer invents?Where did he disappear? To whom what are his works liked?

His work is wellknown - gorilla, reading newspaper or gecko and fly, but any other information? He introduced inovative modular technique but what he do now...?

And of course, I like his work very much, especially his cat!

I met him briefly at the 2006 CDO convention in Italy. He's a really nice guy, and he had a great action boat model he was teaching.

I think he's still folding and creating things.

He's really tall!

Herman still goes to some of the conventions, but I don't think he's creating a lot these days. The latest one (referred to above) is Ships Passing in the Night, the diagrams for which are in the latest BOS magazine. It's a clever action fold with two ships that sail past each other on a pleated "sea". A few of his models appear online, but to get them all you'd have to go through a lot of old convention books.

I hate to be picky about this sort of thing, but isn't it spelled with an "o"? As in, "Herman van Goubergen".
