I have a good deal of sympathy here, islandmassive: collapsing this is not easy. origami_8's idea of the knitting needle is not bad -- I usually pinch the curves in and then sharpen them with my thumbnail. De gustibus.
The important thing to realize with this CP is that the model is six-sided and that there are seven panels: that means you must wrap the last one over the first and then fold down the top and bottom flaps to lock the whole in place. (You can fold these flaps in half first, for a more elegant look.)
Good luck!
