Jassu - Maple Leaf

Help! I am folding Jassu's maple leaf found here

And cannot get past step 11-12 I feel stupid..
The pictures of this model seem so nice and i would really like to complete it
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I tried this model once and 60 steps for a mapple leaf are 50 steps too many. Anyway, step 11 seems to suggest to lift the top layer along that crease shown there.
Then on step 12, you have to "shorten" that top flap by pulling some of the paper and hiding it behind itself

61 steps....
I think in 11-12, you have to crimp in step 11, before you crimp in 12.
Try (in 11) crimping along the creases outlined (the 45 and 90 degree ones).

Iggy_spotter - if you are interested in folding a maple leaf, please look at Brian Chan's maple leaf - fantastic design. I was able to fold it the first time just by following his diagram
