Hello all

I was just surfing the origami web and came across maekawa's very famous devil. I've never folded it before and was wondering where the diagrams for it were. I'm very confused though, because I see it in tanteidan issue 50 or something, and in Viva!Origami. Though on Gilad's review it said 'Partial Diagram'. Furthermore I hear that there is a free diagram of it on the web. Can anyone demystify this model? It's almost as confusing as the Kawasaki rose!

There are different diagrams by different people (with slight variations) for this model.

It's in Viva! Origami originally. Also Tanteidan 1st Convention Book, and Tanteidan Magazine 56 (great detailed diagrams by Hideo Komatsu).Most recently it's in his new book, Genuine Origami. Hugo Pereira made his own diagrams based on the crease pattern in Tanteidan 56. His interpretation was originally different, with the "ears" as large "shoulder horns", but he has since edited them so they are almost exactly like Maekawa's. He also has a more complex variation diagrammed.
