Connected Crane Mobile

Post by ndelse »

At the Origami Museum in Tokyo, I saw a mobile made from connected cranes that I would like to replicate (in some fashion although it doesn't have to be exact). The cranes were connected, but I can't remember if they are connected by their wings or their heads/tails... Does anyone happen to have a picture/diagram of this type of mobile that they would be willing to post? (I have seen diagrams of how to make connected cranes - what I want to see is a picture of a mobile.) When I went back to the Museum in Tokyo, they had taken down the display and I was crushed...

Thank you very much!

Hmm well maybe it was something like this:

It seems like the kind of thing that would be in a museum, I mean, this was the first time diagrams for a crane were published.

Are you looking for a photo or just a picture? Page 59 and 61 show some crane mobiles. I guess if you can't find a photo you can make one yourself, hah.

I've seen the hiden senbazuru orikata and it is very helpful. I was hoping for some pictures/diagrams to give me some ideas on how to make one on my own, so if anyone else has some I'd really appreciate seeing them... I might have to just get out a lot of practice paper and try out some ideas.

Thanks very much!
