Hi,

I feel really silly for asking this, but I just started on Origami and I'm really bad at reading diagrams. I've been trying to fold this really simple (looks simple compared to crazy stuff people are folding here) dog for a friend, and I'm stuck. Sadly there isn't anybody who knows anything about Origami around me so I've decided to try my luck here.

I want to give this to a good friend for Christmas, so I'd really really appreciate it if someone could explain (video perhaps? or step by step demonstrate) how I can fold this cute puppy.

Ok, bear with me, since I don't have a camera to use.

The longest point at the end is going to be the tip of the "rabbit ear" in step 8 on the right. For step 7, what you do is bring the corners (where the V-shaped spaces are) in to their self, while pinching the tab on the right in half horizontally while bringing it upward.

If that's a little confusing, just bring in the two sides inwards so a square shape appears on the left side.

This is a nice design. I like this puppy!
Also, the puppy is not so simple. Maybe low-intermediate/intermediate

Nathan's photo diagrams are very good.

Let add one suggestion. With some of the composite folds, such as a rabbit ear, it is easier to precrease each individual fold first, then collapse all three folds at the same time, as indicated in Nathan's photos.

Also, note that when you go from Step 6 to Step 7, turn step 6 over then rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise. If you aren't experienced, this may not be clear from the diagrams.

Please let us know how it goes... and post pictures of the completed model. We like to see everyone's accomplishments, not just those of the experts.

hey guys! thanks alot! i've got the hang of it i think =D now all i need is to keep practising haha. my first successful one is really crumpled and disfigured.

I found that you can also close-sink (completely closed-sink) the tip of the head for a cleaner look. The closed sink is harder than an open sink so you may or may not want to try.
