Help with Chuka Ryu (Eastern Dragon)

I have been searching the internet for a long time, searching for a model for an Eastern Dragon. But of all the models that I have seen so far, this dragon has constantly caught my attenetion.
But before I do (try to) make it, I have a few "problems" that I am stuck on, those being:
1. How do I start off the body, because the top and bottom squares are cut oddly,
2. For the additional legs, what size compared to the body do the squares need to be, and
3. What measurement should the body have to make the best body?
