Anyone folded the Icosahedron from A Plethora of Ployhedra?

I recently bought A Plethora of Ployhedra by John Montroll and have been delighted by the fact that all the shapes come from one piece of paper.
Im trying the Icosahedron and am confused by the mysterious comment on p21 step 43 "Wrap around the dark paper".
Can anyone shed any light on this for me?
I have been told by someone who folded it a long time ago that the 'dark paper' is the section in the digram that is shaded dark however Im not seing a way to fold over this section in my attempts.
PS Im new here.. so Hi everyone.
PPS I like folding cubes, cranes and David Brills Masu:
