Hi, I'm new (to the forum and to origami lol) and I would appreciate it if someone could help me with "gigi the cat" by Robin Glynn.

I'm a little confused at step 25 and step 30, as well as 32

at 25 do you just sort of fold the ear over? or is there something more complex going on because I can't really tell (it says to swivel but I don't see how really... and I'm not that good at swiveling )

at step 30, do you sink the tip in?? or just fold it over because when I try to sink it, it runs into the tail and then I cant rabbit ear the tail very well because the paper gets really thick.

and Im assuming you just shape the body at step 32, there really isn't much folding going on, right?

First of all, chesslo, your post was entirely worthless, and it did not tell or solve anything. Please make your posts worthwhile.

Anyways... I took some pictures, which I hope will make things clear. The paper I used is this thick foil which folds rather badly.

Step 25 is a swivel, which is more than just folding the ear over.

I don't entirely get what you're trying to say here, but I believe step 30 is a sink.

That's right. At step 32, most of the folding is just shaping. The only real folding is the crimping for the feet, and the reverst fold at the end of the tail. For my cat, I bent the tail backwards, so the tail might not all be visible.

edit: this was how my first real attempt turned out! (it was a little lopsided and didn't want to stand on its own so I propped it up with a tape measurer)




I think it looks alright I'm going to try it using foil paper in a bit.
