First of all, hello to all because I am a newbie!
I came across an excelent model of the Phu Tran Rose on the internet folded by Artur Biernacki http://www.flickr.com/photos/12569445@N02/2318087337.

I made some Kawasaki roses myself but I can never make one that has thorns.
Can anyone help me out?

Oh gosh. There's a diagram online here:
http://www.ganymeta.org/~darren/origami ... =rose_stem
which shows a stem with leaves and a thorn all folded from one piece of paper. I believe Artur's was made from multiple pieces though. One square for stem-one for leaves-one for calyx- and then a fourth for the rose itself then they all interlock. But at least that's something similar
