Hi, I have a quick question about the paper usage in origami. I can see that first of all, thin crisp paper works very well with difficult models, (such as the tarantula, by Lang), and when dealing with simpler models, copy paper works well. My question is that of the original origami paper, yasutomo, that comes in a package, does this work well with difficult models, and is there a table showing of what paper to use, for a # of steps of the model.
For example: if an origami model has 20 steps, then origami paper will work, and if there is 100 steps, then tissue foil works, or vice versa.
Please reply if you can.

I think it depends on...

...if you want to shape your model after folding it (does the paper need sizing or MC?)
...the complexity of the model you want to fold (especially antennae, antlers etc.)
...the size of the model


These points vary from case to case, so you will probably never find a table based on folding steps.

It is aslo necessary to take into account, that some models made from big sheet of the paper is not proper. For better explanation, wings could fall down, legs do not endure big and heavy body etc.
