Are there any diagrams for a good pangolin out there? The pangolin seems like a neat thing to fold, but I've no experience in designing, and I can't find a pangolin anywhere.

Eric Joisel designed one.
As far as i remember it has been the work of several years (like most of his complex models).

Yea, but no way there's diagrams for that one. Joisel doesn't diagram ANY of his best works (my favorites), in my opinion.
Sorry, can't help ya Lephantome92... None off the top of my head...

Pangolins and armadillos are very different creatures, so my armadillo wouldn't be of much help.
Leong Cheng Chit designed a pangolin, too, but I don't think it's been diagrammed, either.

Ooo...you're right. I just checked in Wikipedia and they look completely different. The only similarity is that they both roll up into balls

I think I'll design a pangolin! It should be quite simple provided I don't include scales.

Ah, but the most distinctive feature of a pangolin are the scales...

Okay. Then I'll just shoot myself in the head

Why so negative? Go ahead and try to design one with scales!

I've no clue why, but shortly after I saw Joisel's pangolin a few month ago, I really wanted to try and make one, but my designing skills are practically non-existent.

There's no better time than now to start working on those designing skills!

Well, if I were to design a Pangolin, I'd probably start with a version without the scales, and then add the scales in a similar manner like the scales on Robert Lang's Koi.

Wow-I guess I never looked up pictures of a real pangolin before, just Joisel's. They are amazing! I can't believe I overlooked them before. I might have to try and design one now, too...

But, who believe, that Joisel's pandolin is from the paper instead of live/dead-prepared animal?
It should be topic for next month challenge - design of pandolin.
