I was wondering if anyone could point me to some digrams to a simple (but realistic) face.

There are some great mask diagrams around. Maybe try a google search for them?
There are a couple of great books available, The simplest is Eric Kennaway "Folding Faces" been out of print a long time but libraries might have a copy, I know OUSA does.
I did a simple face mask years ago but never diagrammed it- If you have no luck PM me and I will try and put something together- it sort of starts with a fish base.

oh well i can't say that i found that book easy, but then again i don't know what other books on the subject offer harder folds.

I have to say that origami faces is easy. If you look at Saadya's you will notice the basic base. you can transform the base in to ANY faces. Hopes you got it.

P.S. Eric Joisel's face is the most realistic face I have ever seen!

I created my own origami face, but I have'nt diagramed it yet. I think it is
pretty realistic

I have great idea to make ralistic origami face: use strong and elastic wet paper, strech it on your face and wait for its drying...

Eric Joisel does this as part of his class when he teaches folding faces. He presses a piece of paper onto his face, and then dumps a cup of water on his head!
