Step one- Find a sheet of paper to fold with and precrease all of the lines of the cp.
step two- collapse the paper along the creases to get a base.
step three- shape the base to look something like one of Brian Chan's hermit crabs.

For the first one, fold the paper in 8ths. For the second one, the reference is given: both of the reference lines are at 22.5 degree angles. If you look carefully, reference lines are given for the third-It looks similar to the reference point on the second one. Good luck!

Well, there are pictures, just look at the CPs. With Jonnycakes nice explanation you should be able to find the reference points. If you are not able to, you should maybe get back to the beginning and read some Crease Pattern tutorials: viewtopic.php?t=2131

Only praxis makes a master, so try some simpler stuff before trying something that's over your head.
