Montroll's Canary from Teach Yourself Origami

I am having a rough time with this model. :( I LOVE folding birds, so I figured I’d LOVE folding the Canary. Blah.

Anywho, it’s out of the Teach Yourself Origami book by Montroll. The step where you crimp fold the feet up and thin them really has me stumped. I managed to do something like what I was supposed to do (which was NOT right according to the later diagram that showed the inside of the thinning), and on the next fold (spread squash I think), well – I couldn’t get that right. I think my pre-creases were off, but even still, it was a very challenging fold for me to execute.

Could someone please help me out on this model? Thanks!

I guess you are talking about step 13 and following
Here are some phtos of step 13.
Once you have step 13, 14 consists only of simply reverse folds.

Hope that helps. If you still have questions, just ask.
