Help on Kawaski Rose Leaf?

Hello, I'm working with Toshikazu Kawasaki Origami Deam World and I'm trying to fold the leaf starting on page 68. I'm completely not understanding the fold between step 4 to 5. I fold along the recommended lines but it doesn't turn to step 5. I think it's a combo step involving squash fold. I try to meet the points but it doesn't seem to line up.

This book is written in Japanese so it's hard for me to figure it out.

First of the book is "Origami Dream World - Flowers and Animals", there are two books that are named very equally.

The figure you have in step 9 (page 69) is a very common base that can be made in very different ways. You can find an alternative method for example on my bat diagrams if you follow them until step 11: http://www.origamiaustria.at/diagrams/bat.pdf
