Can you get the book Works of Satoshi Kamiya from 1995-2001 on a shop or do you have to yes or yes order it and wait until it comes on the mail. More especific, does any one know a shop in the U.S.A or better Mexico where my dad can get it for me? oh! and also can you tell me the what's the price of the book aproximatly.(my english isn't very good so forgive me if there is any bad spelling) Thank you if you can help me with this...

The price is approx. 60.00 US dollars and you have to order it off the internet.

I ordered this from Origami USA on July 24th. They just sent me a message today that it will be shipped tomorrow. It was $59 plus 11.75 shipping. I does look good though according to the website:

why don't you buy the tanteidan conventions? they are cheaper

Most of the diagrams in the book or either out of print or unpublished in the tanteidan conventions. In the long run, it would actually be much cheaper to buy the book.

thank god I got a japanese grandmother who lives very close to origami house and bought it for me. ( it costed £20! bargain...)

Thanks a lot for answering my question . Now I'd just would like to know if it's really worth it... I mean, I have the money and all (all though I had to work hard to get it) but the thing is that I don't have much experience in this art, but I do want to improve. I've only got bout 4 month of practice and I'm afraid that if I order it I won't be able to to most of the models, and if I don't order it they will stop printing it like it says in gilad's origami page. Thanks

It doesn't matter if you're not ready for it. You could just keep it for next time when you have more experience. If it goes out of print you will regret it for the rest of your life, although that is very unlikely to happen, since it's such a bestseller.

On the contrary to a lot of people i don't think that kamiyas book is such a must have. Everybody buys it because the Ancient Dragon is in it, and the Wizard and sure, some more very neat looking models. But folding them often turns out to be a pita because the folding sequences are not that elegant and often it seems to me collapsing a cp would be much easier

I you just got 4 month of practise buy some high intermediate books first, improve your folding skills very fast, and then decide again.

Perhaps you can get your hands on any of his diagrams, just to try out the style...
