Icosahedron - wrap around the dark paper

Hi folks,

For all you scratching your heads over the cryptic step 43 in John Montrolls 'A Plethora of Polyhedra in Origami' p21 for the Icosahedron.. I have possibly worked out what this means and have posted several phtographs that I would have found usefull when I was learning this shape:

Im slowly working my way through this book so if anyone has any advice or wants help with any of the shapes prior to this, feel free to contact me.
