Toshikazu Kawasaki - New (angled) Rose
Hi all,
I know the rose topic is a very long and old topic...but this time, I am not asking for any CPs or Diagramm etc...I just need help on how to close the new kawasaki rose properly.
I am trying to follow the instructions, but whenever I do the extrae leaves for each side, it somehow gets very tense on the paper ... and I have difficulties to close the rose, as the paper doesnt match/fit anymore somehow.
Can someone help me out there?
thanks,
e-mo

I did a photo diagram for a member not too long ago on the whole k-rose here:
viewtopic.php?t=4237&postdays=0&postord ... se&start=0
Also a short video of mine on the reverse fold which locks the rose:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hq5YOMf1QSk
And here's another one where he combines the valley fold and the reverse fold into one motion to lock the rose (you'll have to fast forward towards the end of the video):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfNuA6i8CYQ
I none of this helps, can you take pictures of you model where you're having problems so I can get a better idea of where you need help

hi mrsriggins...
that is a good alternative...to post a picture of the step where I am stucked in. in principle...I do know how to close it, but I dont understand why the diagramm I made...wont allow me to close it. i think there must be something wrong with my diagramm...but let me check the links first. probably I have watched them all already but it wont work with the diagramm I made.
I will get back to you by latest saturday...
thanks,
e-mo

Hmm... Yeah I'd have to see where you're having trouble at to really help at all. Feel free to e-mail me at mrs_riggins(at)hotmail(dot)com . It's usually a faster way to get in touch with me since I forget to check specific posts on the forum.

I have seen that video already...but it wasnt mich of help..as it didnt show the other stuff...like on how to fold the extra leaves etc...
I received help from another user...and I am almost able to do the rose.
I draw a CP...and it got revised...and it seems to be much better now..let me try it again...and will see if that helps or not.

Hi e-mo,
thet one is the third of three videos I made for the folding of the rose, but they shows my own way to fold it, without pre folding the entire grid at 22.5 deg. Here are the other two if they are of any help.

Hey, e-mo, yesterday I was watching a post where somebody post a link to a photodiagram to fold, what I think are, the same leaves that Phu Tran uses for his variation. I only tried the rose once, and I think is not very difficult to fold, but I lost interest on it because I had no idea about how to fold the rest of it.
Now I should say that I only need to learn how to fold the calix, and maybe the stem.

"Keep On Folding!!"

the stem shouldnt be difficult at all...the calyx is in comparison to the leaves and blossom very easy. I already figured out how to do the leaves...and it looks pretty ok now.
still need to do the calyx....and I am almost done
finally...
if anyone needs support..just let me know...I will try to assist...as ppl assisted me here as well.
