Cu' Kim Ngoc - Tree V2

Hello everybody,

I'm just trying to fold my first tree. Therefore I use Ngoc's Tree V2 from:
http://origami.artists.free.fr/CuKimNgo ... 2/tree.htm

But I can really hardly imagine what exactly shall be done at step 12a. Is the bottom height of the diagonal creases in the middle row freely chooseable?

It would be easier to understand if the whole crease pattern would be viewable...

Can anybody please explain how to reach step 12b?

Greetings,
Bastian

Read this article by Gerwin Sturm: http://www.origamiaustria.at/diagrams/b ... uide_3.pdf

You should be especially interested in the part about Elias Stretches.

15 seems to be a valley fold, but could be an outside reverse fold as well, it doesn't really matter in the end. 17 is an inside reverse fold of the next layer.
22 is just thinning the layers by mountain folds or closed sinks whatever comes in handy.

oh ok, so 17 could be something like an outside reverse "wrap" kinda thing? OH! and looking at it just now..it seems your are supposed to fold (on step 17) the flap pointing down, over, but the fold will be under the flap point ing to the right. see i always though that fold was supposed to include both of the flaps. does this make any sense, or on the the right track?

thanks for your help anna
