Sebastian Arellano - Kenjutsudoka (CP)

Hello everyone, and happy new year!
Recently i have been trying to solve some crease patterns, and i am having a problem of finding the coordinate points.
in this model: Kenjutsudoka by sebastian arellano:

I also had this problem.
So i thought it might help me and other people if anyone could explain how to find coordinates (reference line) ( i read all the crease patterns guide in the internet)
and i realized that some people say to print the crease pattern (which isn't good option for me), and some people said that i should use "vector graphic program" or something like that.
So i wonder if someone could tell me what program should i use, how to use it and where can i download it.

Because this model is box pleating you don't really need to find much of a reference point. You could just find the underlying division (in this case i believe it is 32*32) crease nearly the entire grid and fold the diagonals from simple counting.

but still can anyone answer my question?
where can i find a program like that? how do i work with?
where do i download it?!
sometimes you just cant find the reference points without printing it or without a program.
models like Robert J.Lang or Brian Chan that made by the tree theory cant be done.
please help

I'm glad you're trying to fold this model... partially created by me. The reference is indeed 32*32 (so as with katana and saya)
I think that finding references in a CP is more an exercise of trial and error. You take your CP and try to underline a grid, if its works, you proceed. If it doesn't lines up, you start folding diagonals in your sheet, until you hit a point from where you can get the other lines in the CP. If anything of that works, you measure with a rules a point from where you think you could get the rest of the lines of CP, you transform that measurement to a fraction (7.5 in a paper of 15 =1/2, as an example) and then you go to good reference finder and ask it how to get that point.

Ill try to use the Reference finder.
But still it could be awsome if there was a program that you could just open the cp in it (in jpg or gif or pdf) and it would show you the points.

the cp is saved as a .jpeg, so you'll have to trace it into a vector format. I know Inkscape has a trace function, but I haven't played with that part of the program. you can download it here:

Although Referencefinder is a fantastic program and is great to have, you don't need it for this model. To get 32nds, fold the paper in half, then divide into 4ths, etc. until you get to 32.
