Meguro Toshiyuki - Long Legged Wasp

I Have just been going over the diagrams in tanteidan convention book 9 for the long leg wasp and it shows you have to cut off two parts???

Is it posable to fold this model without having to cut or the bits and re atatch them?

Also how do i mark up the right places for the creses etc in the first few diagrams so as to have them correct?

Any help would be great.

I thought there was a threasd about this model but couldnt find anything when i serched.

NO YOU DON'T HAVE TO CUT ANYTHING.

The diagrams show how to construct the crease pattern with a compass. It's very fascinating, and I wish I understood the method used (string of beads I think). The diagrams just show the three polygons that make up the design. To make it easier to see what's going on they're shown individually, but do not cut anything!!

By the way, where did you get the 9th convention book from because I thought it was out of print, and if you don't mind me asking, where do you get the other Tanteidan Books from?

Half a year ago it was still available from Nicolas Terry's shop. At the moment you can get 10-14 from Nicolas. If you want them I'd recommend buying them as soon as possible, number 12 isn't available any more in most shops I know, so it's very likely that Nicolas has some of the last remaining copies.

cool thats why i hadnt tryed making it yet as i dint like the idea of cutting it up first.

I dont have a cumpus so dont know how to get what i need on to my paper.
