i've collapsed the crease pattern.

but i can't figure out how to shape the wings.

complete guess as I've never folded the model, but it looks like you fan those two longest points out, pushing in the side of the paper so it's basically a paper fan. I don't think copy paper is the best for this model, on your second attempt try something more moldable like tissue foil. Also, where is the CP?

I took the two short thick middle points with lots of layers and spread those out for the wings.

I have no clue. I just kept it like you have it.

Anatomically, it's the division between the thorax and abdomen.
Origamically, it's some extra paper on top

Wow! I didn't know there were crease patterns online for this! *goes and folds it*

I can make a photodiagram or something to help you fold it stevieboy. i'm actually terrible at CPs so was suprised at how easy this one was.

I have run out of insect diagrams and have been getting some help with outher insect cps but im not getting very far with them at the mo as im jst not getting it. But hopfully with the help I will soon.

The structure of this is verrrry similar to the whip spider, so once you get that one down, this would be a good one to try next.
