Ronald Koh - Black Rhino

Post by Loki »

I got up to step 38 and ran into a problem.
I swiveled the ONE layer from left to fight, as it instructed, and this is where the problem begins. The paper no longer looks like the illustration, which was expected.
Now, when I follow the instructions from step 33-38, it doesn't look like it is supposed to.
I tried to go back and swivel over TWO layers from left to right and proceed to follow the directions. With a little modification I can make it look like it is on step 39. But then when I get to step 49 I run into the problem that the extra fold I did to make it look right gets in the way of making the reverse fold.
Can anyone help?[/b]

Okay I've folded this before so hopefully we can work through this. :)

When you go to repeat on the left side steps 33-38, what you should be repeating are those steps but mirror imaged. So everything that's left is now right and vica versa.

Now having said that is your problem that the flap on the left is not the mirror image of the flap on the right that you did steps 33+ on?

Thanks, I had actually tried that before too, but apparantly didnt mirror ALL the steps, because when I tried it againg, it worked just fine. :D

Once again, thank you very much.

Yeah isn't it a bitch when you blank and then forget that it was supposed to be a mirror image? I've done it before. Well I even skip entire steps sometimes!
