Hi, when i was trying to fold
http://dev.origami.com/images_pdf/parrot.pdf this diagram, i was first stuck at the 3rd step, i made it trough after a lot of trying, but now im stuck at step 6

. I dont really know if its the diagram that suck, or me, but i find him very hard to read. Even though the parrot doesnt seem so hard

. Can someone help me? thanks in advance

I have given your topic a real name and moved into the right section.
step 6 is a simple valey fold with a tiny squash fold down where the crease starts. I don't have a digicam with me right now but the step isn't too hard. just pull the paper upwards and see how the paper follows.

ah sorry, for that. but i still have problems with it, i guess im just reading it wrong but i cant make that fold... its wierd, since i did a lot of much harder diagrams, which weren't a problem...

I'm going to guess what the problem is, because I haven't folded this model, and I don't know what your current Step 6 result looks like.
Suggestions:
Step 1. I assume that you are Very familiar with a Fish base.
Step 2. I assume that you folded the bisecting lines correctly.
Step 3. This collapse is very tricky -
A. Note that there are FOUR mountain folds on each side
B. It will be easy to mis-fold one of the mountains as a Valley.
Step 5. When you do the reverse folds, you are tucking the paper in, so that
you free the flaps that you fold upward in Step 6.
Sorry if this is too obvious, but read through it and see if it gives you any ideas.
