i am a moderately experienced folder. i want to finish kirschenbaum's elephant.

i am stuck on step 17. i understand what needs to happen but cannot figure out how to do it, even by unfolding and re-collapsing. if anyone has any tips or suggestions, please reply.

here is the diagram

Open up the bottom and push out the flap. Though the results can sometimes be rather untidy, it works for me.

p.s. i glanced at some of your flickr photos, the chihuahua is great. i don't know if you have diagrams to share, but after i deal with this elephant i would love to try it or something similar.

i plan to post photos of my folding, but as i said it's my first day in the forum.

I was redirected here from my original post. I am stuck on step 31 where you are supposed to pleat the trunk. I don't understand what to do at all. The picture doesn't make sense to me. Thanks.
