Kamiya's Butterfly TH Crease Pattern...Trouble Collapsing

Post by CorigamiC »

Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble collapsing Satoshi Kamiya's Butterfly TH Crease Pattern. Can anyone who has folded it before give me some tips or tell me what I'm doing wrong? I would REALLY appreciate the help, Thanks! This is as far as I could collapse it, which makes me feel like I went about collapsing this completely wrong.

P.S. I'm not actually planning on folding the real model with polka-dotted paper :P

Here are a few more angles of what I have so far. ANY help would be amazing :)

The circled points here are primarily where im having the problems. I couldn't get a good shot of it, but each of the two circled areas are like the top point of a waterbomb base, so there are four flaps meeting at these points. Like one of the problems that I'm having is that the two black lines below them are supposed to be valley folds, but due to the way this model has been collapsed, I cant get every crease in the CP in-place at the same time. The other problem is that it won't lay flat ;)

Thank you in advance!
