Hi everyone, I'm having trouble with step 38 of the following model & any help/advice would be greatly appreciated:

I just got stuck at the following step 42. I think theres a mistake because in the diagram you didn see the layer you fold in again.

No, there is no mistake in the diagrams!
You don't see the layer because it is hidden under the part that is petal folded on the left side.
Make sure you made the reverse fold correct with the tip of the paper sticking inside the pocket that's inside there. In step 42 just follow the valley fold exactly, the mountain/squash forms by itself.
