origami metalic insect

Well, i came across this little insect here

abot the cp, the 4 rectangles are getting in the way of seeng the cp's grid. so I need help on what grid it is, and maybe a few other stuff later.
EDIT: well i ment the 2 rectangles and 2 squares.

but to me it looks like its 42x42 grid

Those rectangles are composed of 3-4-5 triangles. Each unit is 4 pleats wide. You can then see that there are 11 units going across the square. 11 x 4 = 44. The grid is 44 x 44.

Yup, its not more complicated than that. All the references are found in a 11*11 grid. :wink:

thx guys. well, i'm only moving to 7th grade so i'm still learning :?
well, the only question still kinda bugs me, and that is how to I divide a paper into 11ths?

If you can't understand a diagram with 2 folds, what chance do you have with a CP. Fold the two 5/16 marks so that they meet. This will mark 8/11 on the left and right sides. Now fold the two 8/11 marks to meet and this will mark 8/11 on the top and bottom sides.

I'd recommend reading them all to learn how to do them, but the n-section using Haga theorems and more n-sections links will show how to get more divisions
