Valerie Vann - Magic Rose Cube

i found some diagrams in the net for the 3 flower units and for the 3 leaf units.. but there wasnt any instruction how to put them together... :cry:

i tried to figure it out.. but it doesnt work ...

thanks in advice for all answers

think of it as a puzzle

I will give you a hint

The diagional line extending across the face of each unit of the leaf units will when assembled form a triangle.

And the diagionals on the petals will radiate out of the center, look at my post if you want to see a visual picture.

its seems, i am not smart enough for this.. :cry:
i have done 2 pics with my webcam
1. pic. is the backview of the 2 units (petal and leaf)
2. pic is the frontview of the same u units..
i have added some description for the corners and flaps..
it would be great if you (or someone else) could explain it to me exacly..

First assemble the leaves

take 3 leave modules, the B1 flap will extend behind

I am going go fold on, and then I will get back to you ok

ok, i think i got the leafs now.. i put the small flap into the side of each module... i made a pic with my webcam, but have some troubles at the moment with my provider.. going to link img. asap!

I AM NEAR TO IT!! :D

i figure out the the construction in my head...
i tried it, and it WORKS!! (well, not realy, but i think i only interchanged 2 parts of it... i am going to build it with coloured paper if i know 100% how to assable it :)

ok, i got it.. the whole cube is symetricaly builded and i could shape the top (the rose head)...
but... how could i shape the leafes?!?... maybe i cant see leafes becaus its all in one colour.. i will try it now with colour...

what i have to to for the leafes to get showed?

i will create some diagrams for building the 2 modules and for the assembling now - because i cant understand why nobody has done this before (i dont know why valerie vann dont published diagrams, but the time has come for them now... )

i think i am finished in about a week (had some other things to do also...

The MRC has been fully diagrammed twice - in the Japanese NOA magazine a few years ago and this year in the February edition of the BOS magazine.

Michael Lafosse also brought out a video featuring directions for folding the MRC and some other Valerie Vann models.
