Satoshi Kamiya's Loggerhead Sea Turtle

Hi everybody!

Can you help me with Kamiya's Loggerhead Sea Turtle?
I'm having problems with step 106 of the diagrams at Tanteidan Convention 16.
Do I have to sink the darkened section? I don't see how that can be sinked that way...
Also, there is supposed to be a diagonal crease, and it goes from inside-down to outside-up, what happens to the paper below?

Thanks in advance for anything!

Well, I think there is a topic abuot this already, but im going to help.
I looked at the diagrams, and yeah, you do have to sink it, if you cant, the layers are arranged incorrectly.

I searched for it, but I found nothing about the diagrams of this model.

Ok, I'll revise the previous steps, thank you! :)

Solved it!

I had the layers arranged, but it's not just sinking.
The darkened area sinks, but the creases of the area you don't see make a square that ends up divided into two triangles pointing down with the 90 degree angle.

If somebody needs help with it, I'll post a photo.

I had some difficulties with this step in the past and want to do a refold of this amazing turtle. I would be very happy if you can post a picture about this step. Thanks!

with any kamiya model, if all else fails, go to the collected kamiya help topics that has been amalgated by flaregloom that the mods have stickied at the top of the subforum page. it's such a pity that flaregloom spent all the time to make it and no one uses it.

I used "kamiya turtle step" for searching, and I found that nobody asked about Kamiya's Turtle diagrams, so I started this thread.
Please, if you find a thread talking about it, delete this one and attach it to the end of it.

my communication skills must be lacking.

some time ago, flaregloom, a long-time forum member, put together all the threads with questions pertaining to satoshi kamiya models into one post. it is sticky'ed and is near the top of this sub-forum. as you can imagine, this took quite some time.

I looked at those about the turtle, and none of them where about the diagrams, so I started this thread.
If you want to communicate better, you have to listen before talking.
This discussion is over since this thread is about the diagrams, not about the forum.

Have a good day.

In the topic I posted about Kamiya's Models, the last link under Sea Turtle, eventually is about the diagrams:

viewtopic.php?t=3486

This is in the link that bethnor posted.

Though I do understand both of your points.

Then, it's my fault and I do deserve that facepalm, which I'll take with honor and pride.

Please don't forget to post a picture of step 106 (in this topic or the one linked to above) because of the commotion about using the right topic. Thanks!

Ok, simplifying, you have to go from this:

to this:

Hope it helps.

Other annotations I've made on my book:
Step 131: Careful! The creases don't reach the corner at the sides.
Step 133: It's a spread
