Hey all;
New to this forum and not hugely experienced with origami, but very curious and trying to practice being creative and making instead of buying christmas presents.
I've got some clear glass christmas ornaments that i'd like place origami into. My first idea for this was to make the little inflatable water bomb or balloon style origami, place it into the glass ornament, and then use tweezers and that compressed air for cleaning keyboards to inflate the balloon inside the ornament. Would look sort of like a little present! unfortunately the compressed air seems to powerful/narrow in applying the pressure to the inside of the balloon to make it pop open.
A possible solution I'm working on is threading embroidery thread with a needle through certain joints, with the aim of identifying which lengths need to be shortened to "pull" the box into shape from the inside.
Does anyone have any other ideas/approaches to achieving a balloon expanded to its final shape inside a glass ball with a small opening?
Thanks for any suggestions!
