Looking for: Turtles

Post by origamidude96 »

Hey guys, being the idiot I am, I probably posted this in the wrong space. I'm new here, but I have been reading the forums for about a year now. So I just wanted to say hi to everyone. Since this is about diagrams I have a few questions. I was wondering if anyone knew a good turtle model. Not too complex (western pond turtle) or not too easy. Thanks everyone,
Patrick.
(p.s) I already searched and didn't find anything like this.

There's this very cute turtle by Dave Stephenson that I diagrammed some years ago: http://www.origamiaustria.at/diagrams.php?lang=2

and I really like the traditional turtle: http://waldco.googlepages.com/turtle.htm

well and then there's Katsuhisa Yamada's fantastic turtle: http://w01.tp1.jp/~a150296341/02/02-4.04.html

for something more complex there is a very nice turtle in Robert J Lang's book "Origami Design Secrets" (not the Western Pond turtle but the other one).

A very enjoyable, easily memorized turtle may be found in John Montroll's origami sea creatures. Pages 28-31 ..
One can enhance this model with more elaborate toes etc.
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,
with all its peaks & depths, as well as Origami .

I especially like the one by Michael G Laffose, from his latest book: Origami Art. The turtle there is not too hard.

Satoshi Kamiya's Loggerhead Sea Turtle is very nice. The CP was published in Origami Tanteidan Magazine 81.
