Simple freestanding sign

Post by perrybond »

I would like to print a small sign on a piece of A4 paper and fold it so it stands up neatly without sagging or drooping over time. The closest I have found is an origami pyramid, but that is overly complicated, what I envisage is a cheese wedge on end. Has anyone any suggestions?

Thanks

Valley fold one side side or two opposite sides in a bit.
Fold the paper in 4ths in the other direction.
Bring one fourth over the opposite fourth, tucking it into the pocket(s).

This gives you a triangular prism that should stand up rather strong on both the open and the closed sides.

Or maybe the roof of this house: http://www.en.origami-club.com/nature/h ... index.html

Thanks for that, brilliant.
I've tried them both and your idea, being the simplest works the best.
