On the bottom of this page there are some instructions on how to make a modular chain (for example from gum wrappers):

Not exactly what you look for but I couldn't resist when I saw the words chain and star in the same sentence
I have no diagrams for it but it is based on a 60 degree triangle grid. You play around with it and you find the way to make the stars and the rest (the chain) is just repetition.

the star chain is a varition of spring into action.

The first thing that came to my mind was Jeremy Shafer's «falling cuboids» model from Origami to Astonish and Amuse. If you use a long strip of paper, I'm sure you could make something that looks like a necklace (it's flexible too!)

I don't understand if Musuka is looking for a chain to hang up his star/stars, o he wish to turn his star in a star-chain

Neither do I. Here is a chain of 7-pointed stars.

No it is not. It is a model by Fujimoto and it predates Spring into Action

Is the chain made from a square or a rectangle???

Does it really matter? But for those purists out there, it is from a square.
