Good exercise patterns/diagrams

Hi there!
I'm a short time stalker, first time poster. While I'm not a beginner, I'm definitely not an expert either as I need to practice some folds a bit more... mostly closed sinks *shivers*. I hate just repeating folds on scrap paper though and prefer to at least get something out of it so I have been searching for diagrams and patterns that I think are fairly simple and consist largely of a specific fold.
I was hoping maybe someone out there could add something to my list? Personally I need some beginner closed sink exercises, though any pattern/diagram that makes you practice a specific fold would be highly appreciated.
Here's what I gathered so far. I haven't tried all of them yet myself as I keep getting distracted by shiny-must-fold-right-now designs
Box Pleating:
- Dwarf by Eric Joisel
Crimping: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSuYfujNqJE)
- Chambered Nautilus Shell by Robert J. Lang
- (basic snail shell designs)
- Eastern Dragon by Joseph Wu
- Penguin by Valerie Vann - suggested by Max in a Different Thread
Reverse Folds:
- Origami magic ball
Sinks: ( open/closed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onOULFtkd1o )
( double open/closed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9HEMDpqFBM )
- (open) Andrea's Rose by J.C. Nolan
- (open) Butterfly by J.C. Nolan
- (open?) Braided Paper by J.C. Nolan
- (open) Sink Flower by Steve Biddle - added by Jonnycakes
- (closed) Bowtie by Michael Assis - added by Mike352
- Penguin by Valerie Vann - suggested by Max in a Different Thread
A little of everything:
- Hercules Beetle by Satoshi Kamiya - added by Federicoh (Warning: complex shaping)
Beginner Crease Patterns:
- Dwarf by Eric Joisel - suggested by many wise khans
- Diamond by Satoshi Kamiya
Thanks,
Lyca.
