Hi,

I am looking for variations of the traditional origami crane. These are my findings so far:

http://origami-club.com
-> traditional crane
-> nesting crane
-> two coloured cranes

a ring of 8 cranes

a crane envelope

There are also crane boxes by Tomoko Fuse and Rikky Donachi in their books, and the method of cutting paper to get 2, 4, ... cranes out of one paper ind different arrangements.


Do you know other variations of the crane? I don't like the one with 3 heads ore something like this...

I'm really sorry, I didn't knew the name for it.

I think the words you are looking for are Senbazuru and Rokoan style connected cranes.

The picture I posted shows 6 cranes, a mother followed by 5 babies, from one square sheet of paper with cuts.

Best part is, it's a traditional model and the diagram is released under a creative commons license, so you can do pretty much whatever you want with it. Happy folding!
