Please help me find a copy of this book!

Post by buddhasbuddy »

I remember one time I found a copy of Momotani's Molecular models with origami at Sasuga Books www.sasugabooks.com. I am not sure why I didn't buy it right then and there. Anyways, I have never found a copy since. I realise it is out of print but I have been on Ebay and other used book sites looking for a copy of this book. Are there any suggestions on where else I could look for a copy? Although not a huge fan of modular origami, I would love to build some of the viruses and such.

Have you went to Gilad Ahoroni's site to check for info? He usually has a link to a site to buy the reviewed book from. You say it is out of print...well theres only one thing and you've been doing it, wait, wait for it on ebay or some other resource.

I know his site has a link to yesasia.com however the book is not offered by them. I emailed him directly and he said I had to keep my eye on Ebay and other sites. I am still looking... two years later.

I searched Amazon.jp in English for ISBN: 4759808663 and found two used copies for about $77 USD .

I also searched Kinokuniya Books - They have stores in NYC and San Francisco, and will mail. You'll have to use GoogleTranslation etc. but they have the book listed for about $22USD not including shipping.

Use the ISBN...

Not sure, this may expire: Link

Unfortunately, Kinokuniya also doesn't have it in stock. Looks like it's impossible to obtain at the moment... However, Momotani's book tend to re-appear with different names, and sometimes slightly different content. So hopefully we'll see it again some time.

Absolutely! How shall we arrange this? I can transfer funds through Paypal or perhaps a money order (my funds are Canadian).

Helping other origami forum members makes you lucky! After making a rare book available to buddasbuddy, I miraculously found 1 copy of OUSA Convention Book 1995, a book I've been dying to find!! Wow, I'm happy!
