Large Origami

I'm looking for origami models that can easily be folded out of large paper, ending up roughly 6 to 8 inches tall. No real specific guidelines here, they just have to be easily recognizable, and fairly large. Also, they should be easily recognizable. Thanks in advance.

Montroll's giraffe seems a good one. :)

probably. Any other recommendations? I'm thinking about Kawahata's Pegasus, and Komatsu's horse.

Thanks for the recommendations. A few more should be enough.

How about Patricia Crawford's Full Masted Ship, and Baby Grand Piano ?

Or Neal Elias's The Last Waltz, or some Fuse Boxes...

Or Jorge E Jaramillo's terrific Knob Box:

for 6-8 inches you could actually try an insect from lang´s origami insects and their kin or eaven a floderer tree of mushroom!
what are you going to do with them?
I mean if we are allowed to know

Maybe Anibal Voyer's Pegasus, its easier than kamiya's also gives a bigger result, it's wings are a bit small but it's easy to recognise
