Seen this before?

I recently created this unit for modular origami. It's pretty much the same as a sonobe unit (it can make the same polyhedra and has a similar assembly), but more aesthetically pleasing and much simpler to make (if you consider dividing into thirds to be simple).

I was wondering if anyone has seen it before. Because it is so incredibly simple, I have my doubts that I'm the first person to stumble upon it.

Many thanks.

Thanks for the replies. They don't exactly answer my question though.

lewis simons book (modular origami polyhedra?) has diagrams for a cube just like that and i designed an icosahedron with that unit once as well
