Designer Magic Ball

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know who the designer is of the Origami Magic Ball? And in what year it is designed?
I do research on the magic ball for a studyproject. Some people say it is designed by Kade Chan. If anyone knows about this, i'd love to hear it!

Kade Chan claims the designer to be Sing Keung Ng.
Part of the confusion is probably that some pages with Kade Chan's crease pattern does not state this:

Too bad you have to use tape with this one to actually hold it together, it would have been nice if it had a real locking system.

It can be locked but the locking mechanism does not stand the compression and expansion of the magic ball in action, but if you were just to display it, the model can be locked without glue or tape.
I don't think there is any locking mechanism (unless it is a modular model) that would withstand such compression and expansion.
