Usually at Origami meetings folding is going on (how surprising!).
Since the Berlin meeting takes place at a restaurant it is possible that you take a meal at the same time, but usually folding and eating aren't good companions.
At our meetings in Vienna we usually have some small snacks on the table that can be eaten with chopsticks so you don't get fatty fingers.

When going to a meeting take some models, paper and diagrams with you. People always want to know what you folded lately. Also prepare a model that you could teach. Often things are going their own way but it is never false to be prepared. Action models are always a hit as well as everything that is easy and impressive. Models like the Ancient Dragon may be impressive, but you won't have the time to teach them, so something simpler will do.

On a side note: This is an international Forum so many people will not understand you if you write German therefore please write English on here. If you want to have a talk with me or any other German speaking member in your mother language please use private messaging.

alright :-) I thought german would do, since it is specified for ppl in germany :-) however, did not think of ppl who might just have moved to germany and thus their german might be limited :-) then let me continue with english..
I of course would love to join that meeting and it is not even that far from where I live. by bike probably about 15 minutes :-)
hm...I am quite a beginner with origami and havent had the chance to complete a project :S I think I need to go deeper into this field and next time, I might be able to provide some samples :-)
I am looking forward going there...

thanks again..

regards,

If you aren't sure what to bring with you, just contact Rainer Caspary, he can tell you surely everything you want to know about these meetings.
I don't know how large the Berlin Origami group is, maybe you can tell us your experiences when you have been there :)

I am not from Germany, but I will be visiting the country in May. I will be in Germany, Austria, and Prague playing with the University of Akron Symphonic Band-perhaps we will run into each other
