I take your points. I'm not holding my breath for a new volume from Kamiya though. It will no doubt come but Origami House aren't to quick at publishing. As it hasn't been announced and the next House book is to be Brian Chan's (has this been confirmed?) I'm guessing probably two years before a second Kamiya anthology. As I have all of Kamiya's published diagrams post his first "Works" book the idea of a second volume isn't too thrilling ... he will need to include a couple of significant new models such as his wasp 2.6, caribou, or (dare to dream) Ryu Zin (he is "doing something" with the crease pattern - surely more than just publishing it as a challenge in Tanteidan? In view of its detail could it even be published in Tanteidan?) to have me fork out another $AU80.
His Minotaur is arguably his best yet. I'm hoping some of the other CDO Convention book models are worth a go as well. Thanks again for the "heads up"

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.
except that brian chan has to draw the diagrams for his book. the kamiya diagrams are drawn. it's a simple matter of hitting the "print" button and sending them to the publisher.NickH wrote:As it hasn't been announced and the next House book is to be Brian Chan's (has this been confirmed?) ...he will need to include a couple of significant new models such as his wasp 2.6, caribou, or (dare to dream) Ryu Zin
there is no way that ryu zin will ever be digrammed. though i guess he could always go the route of lang's koi (i.e., diagram the basic structure, and have you graft in the scales). ryu zin is overrated anyway.
