I'm actually pretty sad that I didn't know about this as I would have shown up. I currently live in Atlanta, If you're even in town again Jason, let me know. Also, if anyone in the Atlanta area wants to help me setup a monthly meetup let me know. Step 1 will be finding a good location with nice big flat tables. Email me if you want a faster reponse halogenandtoast at gmail dot com.

I'd love to set up a monthly meetup again. As far as big flat tables, most colleges have these in common rooms and whatnot. I think a library would probably not be the best plan, as they frown on talking. Any thoughts on a decent meetup spot?

I've never been in a library that didn't have some sort of meeting or conference room. Every Origami group to which I've belonged met in a library at some point. Don't give up so quick, it is a fairly natural fit.

I've never been to a library that has a meeting room, at least no freely available one.

I can't speak for libraries in Austria...but the Sandy Springs public library has meeting rooms. As does the Roswell library.

And I'm not giving up ;-) I'm just throwing ideas out there.

a good suggestion for the place of the meeting by the legendary
Bob Dylan:

Well Georgia Sam he had a bloody nose
Welfare Department they wouldn't give him no clothes
He asked poor Howard where can I go
Howard said there's only one place I know
Sam said tell me quick man I got to run
Ol' Howard just pointed with his gun
And said that way down on Highway 61.
(Bob Dylan)

Just kidding

Thanks Whitefly. Looks like I'll be listening to Dylan today.

But yes I think it can be very easily done
We’ll just put some bleachers out in the sun
And have it on Highway 61

Oh, Atlanta people, y'all may want to remember that the OUSA convention is the 26-30.
